June 17 - 2005 - A Little Bit Selfish

Alex Kam and Trevan Wong are busy writing original material with Ottawa native, Juliana Enciu for a future project. Their first collaboration, "Selfish", is inspired by one of Juliana's real-life experiences. Along with Juliana's amazing energy, she brings a wealth dynamic dance moves. Whe n not in the recording studio, Juliana teaches and choreographs productions about town.

May 11, 2005 – “Virtual” Good Times!

Eileen Carey has just release a new CD of her own brand of California Country. The album, “Hearts of Time”, was recorded using the talents of musicians in Nashville, but produced “virtually” in Los Angeles at the Remote Control Room. The album features a co-write by Eileen and Venus Recording’s very own Trevan Wong called, “Good Time Charlie”… a free-spirited ditty about a one-man band blown by the winds of whim to Hollywood to rub shoulders with stars. February 15, 2005 - Congratulations, Jennifer!!!

November 24, 2004 - Smooth...

The man they call "Filipino Santana" has just joined Venus Recording Studio to work on Jayne Anastacio's new album. Enrique "Santana" Escueta, as he is affectionally called by his peers, is a long time touring professional and session player. He promises to bring a special esthetic flare to the new latin flavoured jazz and hip-hop numbers on Anastacio's latest project.

November 10, 2004 - Jayne Anastacio CD Project

Vancouver Jazz singer Jayne Anastacio has joined forces with Venus Recording Studio to produce a full length CD. After being out of the studio for a couple of years, the mainstay of the Vancouver Jazz scene is anxious to get back into the recording booth. The ambitious project, now in pre-production, endeavors to blend Pop and Latin with a touch of Jazz and a dusting of Hip-Hop... just for good measure. The CD release is slated for January of 2005, just in time to bring in the new year!

November 8, 2004 - Jennifer Vazquez Releases New CD

Named one of Southern California’s Hot 100 Unsigned Artists of 2003 andthree time ASCAP PLU$ award winner, Jennifer includes a rare co-write on her new album, “Bend”. October 10, 2004 – Good Times Ahead

2000 Los Angeles Music Award nominee for Best Adult Contemporary Artist, Eileen Carey, has completed recording the anticipated follow up to her internationally acclaimed CD, “Possibilities”. Her new album to be released by Roller Coaster Music, features a co-write with Canadian songwriter-producer, Trevan Wong. August 15, 2004 – Superman Flies…

… across the radio waves. Country band, Western Haze, recently made a guest appeared at Indiana’s Radio 105.5. In their interview, they performed an acoustic version of their newest ballad, “Your Superman”, a song written by Vancouver songwriter Trevan Wong. Western Haze, voted Best Country Artist by Midwest Beat Magazine’s readers poll hopes to “fly” to the top of the charts with “Your Superman”. [Lyrics]

February 12, 2004 – LA Country?

For the last year, Brian Stace has been busy in studio recording his latest album. Now, after months of hard work, the CD is done! The down home country sound was uncharacteristically recorded in Los Angeles also features a little Canadian content. Vancouver songwriter, Trevan Wong, teamed up with LA producer Mark Christian to pen the albums hookiest tune, “Just Walk Away”. The song is also featured on Brian Stace’s official website as a Flash video clip.

Hollywood’s Past 12 Productions has teamed up with Austin, Texas gospel singer, Jonathan Moore to release an evocative new album. Vancouver based songwriter Trevan Wong and Nashville based songwriter Donny Hackett contributed two beautiful ballads to the project; “Some People Dream”, a song of inspiration, and “When Our Tomorrows Turn to Yesterdays”, a beautiful duet. Songwriter/Producer, Trevan Wong celebrated with Mara, her Independent Pop Album of the Year Nomination last night at the Los Angeles Music Awards. It was wild time on Sunset Strip! The album features “When the Damage is Done”, his powerful co-write with the talented rocker from New York. LA’s Music Connection Magazine gave the song a great review and states “When the Damage is Done” is Elton Johnesque”.

September 4, 2002 – Notable Track!

LA songwriter Mara and Vancouver songwriter Trevan Wong get two thumbs up in LA MusicScene's latest music review. The song, “When the Damage is Done”, is featured this month in the this months Notable Tracks section. February 7, 2002 – When The Damage Is Done

ASCAPLU$ Award Winner records “When the Damage is Done” on her debut CD. The song, co-authored by Trevan Wong, was recorded in LA for Mara's debut album, “It’s Who I Am”, to be distributed by Flying Coaster Records. The poignant ballad features powerful rock production backed by luscious cellos. The two penned the song after meeting at a local LA area songwriters seminar.
